Indian decor can be as beautiful and comfortable as it is easy to create. You don’t need to do any elaborate redecoration, but a few small changes here and there will help you achieve the perfect Indian-style house.

1. Colours

8. Green: Finishing touches

For an Indian-style room, you don’t need a green thumb. You just need green arms. Green brings together all elements, whether they are heavy or light, on the wall or floor. In any Indian décor, you will find at least one potted plant. You can have a large plant leaning on the wall in a corner or a tiny one standing proudly in the middle of the room.

It is understandable that not everyone can grow and take care of a houseplant, but it’s a good idea to have one in order to complete your ensemble. It is possible to add several plants wherever and whenever you want, from creepers and cute little succulents next to figurines and lamps.

Add whatever you think looks good to make the perfect Indian home décor. It is impossible to explain in detail what you should do at home, but a blog or website can give you a lot of ideas. The best part about Indian home décor is that it doesn’t matter if you place the statue on a table made of glass or if you hang a tapestry against a gray wall. As long as the decor looks traditional and appealing, there is nothing wrong.

It’s true that adding diyas to a modern room might not work, but adding wooden pieces and coloured pillows, or replacing the upholstery in a space, could help. Choose your favourite colours, whether it’s yellow, pink, or the original khadi, and make your home the way you want to live in.
